Create ad groups

Creating ad groups within your campaign allows you to fine-tune the settings.

Example: you are creating a Medical campaign. All your ad groups will share the same settings, but you can adjust each ad group to a particular geo, e.g. Mexico, LATAM or Europe.

Important Note:

If there is no need for different targets at the group level, advertisers typically set identical targets for both campaigns and groups. If your targets do not match, group settings will always dominate over campaign settings.

Within the campaign all your ads can be divided into several groups:

  • by format;

  • by GEO;

  • by device;

  • by offers.

So, how should you create ad groups?

1. Click the campaign name.

2. When the "Ad groups" section opens, press "+" to add a new group.

3. Enter ad group name.

You can also tick the “Launch ads after moderation” checkbox. In this case all your ads will be launched as soon as the moderation process is completed.

The moderation process takes up to an hour.

4. If your campaign has advanced settings, you’ll be able to specify category, geo, device, and time range options for your ad groups.

5. Whitelist & blacklist.

Whitelist is a list of source websites where you allow publishers to run your campaigns. If you provide a whitelist, your ads won’t appear on any website which is not on the list.

Blacklist is a list of websites where you don’t allow publishers to display your ads.

To manage your lists you can use website ID and the corresponding ad unit ID, please start a new line each time that you add a new ID.

After making the necessary changes press "Submit".

Now your ad group has been successfully created.

We recommend double-checking the settings at both the campaign and group levels to avoid inconsistencies and ensure your advertising targets are correctly applied.

If you want to make changes to existing groups within a campaign, you need to make those changes in the group settings, not the campaign settings. Changes made to the campaign settings will not affect groups that have already been created within the campaign.

Before starting the work, you need to prepare your adversisement. Geozo offers a native ad format which will be further explained in more detail.
